Educational Qualification
- Machinist: NAC or NTC in Machinist
- Operator Material Handling Equipment:
- NAC/NTC/STC in Crane Operations, or
- Class 10 pass with Heavy Vehicle Driving License and minimum 2 years experience in crane operations
- Rigger: NAC/NTC/STC in Rigger, or Class 10 pass with 2 years experience in loading and unloading
- Heat Treatment Operator: NAC/NTC/STC in Forger and Heat Treater
- Fitter Auto Electric: NAC/NTC/STC in Auto Electrician
- Sand & Shot Blaster: Class 10 pass with minimum 2 years industrial experience in shot blasting
NAC/NTC certificates must be issued by NCVT, and STC certificates by SCVT.

Age Limit (as on 14 February 2026)
- Upper Age Limit: 35 Years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 Years
- OBC (NCL): 3 Years
- PwBD: 10 Years
- Ex-Apprentices: Relaxation equal to apprenticeship period
- Ex-Servicemen: As per rules, subject to maximum age of 55 years
- Candidates with relevant post-qualification experience: Up to 7 years
The maximum age after all eligible relaxations shall not exceed 55 years.

🧪 HVF Junior Technician Recruitment 2026 -Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be carried out through the following stages:
- Shortlisting of Candidates
- Preference will be given first to HVF Ex-Trade Apprentices
- Then to Erstwhile OFB Ex-Trade Apprentices
- Then to other NTC/NAC/STC holders
- Candidates with only Class 10 qualification will be shortlisted based on length of relevant work experience
- Document Verification
- Verification of original certificates and eligibility conditions at HVF, Avadi
- Trade Test (Practical)
- Trade test will be qualifying in nature (FIT / UNFIT)
- No marks will be awarded
- Candidates declared UNFIT will not be considered further
No written examination will be conducted.
💼 HVF Junior Technician Recruitment 2026 – Salary & Allowances
Selected Junior Technicians (Contract) will receive the following remuneration:
- Basic Pay: ₹21,000 per month
- Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA): As applicable
- Special Allowance: 5% of Basic Pay
- Annual Increment: 3% on Basic Pay upon successful completion of previous tenure
Other Benefits:
- ₹3,000 per month towards medical insurance, accident insurance, conveyance, and telephone expenses
- Provident Fund contribution as per EPF rules
- Gratuity payable after completion of engagement exceeding one year
- Ex-gratia compensation of ₹10 lakh in case of death due to accident during employment
