Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Haridwar Unit, has released an official notification for Apprentice Recruitment 2026. Applications are invited for Graduate and Technician (Diploma) Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This apprenticeship is for the February 2026 batch, and a total of 50 apprentice posts are available.
This opportunity is ideal for young engineering graduates and diploma holders who want industry exposure, hands-on training, and a government PSU certificate to strengthen their career.
Vacancy Details
The apprenticeship vacancies are distributed across the following branches:
- Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
Out of the total 50 posts, 22 are for Graduate Apprentices (B.Tech / B.E.) and 28 are for Technician Apprentices (Diploma in Engineering).
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have completed B.Tech / B.E. or Diploma in Engineering from a recognized institute. Only candidates who passed their qualifying examination in 2023 or later are eligible to apply.
Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training or have one year or more work experience are not eligible. Preference will be given to candidates who are domiciled in Uttarakhand, for which a valid domicile certificate is required.
Age Limit
The minimum age for applying is 18 years as on 01 February 2026.
The maximum age limit is:
- 27 years for General / EWS
- 30 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)
- 32 years for SC / ST
Additional age relaxation is applicable for PwBD candidates as per government rules.
Stipend Details
Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as per NATS guidelines:
- Graduate Apprentices: ₹12,300 per month
- Technician Apprentices: ₹10,900 per month
The stipend is shared between the Government of India and BHEL.Selection Process
Selection will be done purely on merit, based on the weighted average marks obtained in all semesters of the qualifying examination.
There will be no written test or interview. The apprenticeship duration is one year, and completion of training does not guarantee employment in BHEL.
How to Apply
Candidates must first register on the NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in). After registration, they should apply online through the BHEL Haridwar recruitment website under the link for Engagement of Graduate & Technician Apprentices – February 2026 Batch.
After submitting the online form, candidates must print the acknowledgement slip and submit it along with required documents to BHEL Haridwar before the deadline.
